ABOUT
Barbara Bergamini is a professional water color painter with a keen sensitivity to light and a “sense of place”. Her watercolor paintings often depict the quiet beauty of nature and of forgotten architecture of the past. Her subject matter ranges from her familiar countryside to Europe.
Barbara trained at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City with a degree in fashion design. Inspired by beautiful fabrics and the individual needs of brides-to-be, she began her professional career specializing in one-of-a-kind bridal gown designs, formal wear and custom millinery.
Barbara began exploring watercolor painting in 2004 taking classes with Joel Popadics at the Ridgewood Art Institute in New Jersey. She has also studied with David Garrison and Cecile Houel. She has received numerous awards for her work. She is a member of The Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, New Jersey Watercolor Society, American Artists Professional League, and Pastel Society of New Jersey
